Responsible use
Educational. Defensive. Lab-based. Authorized.
Every MethodStack resource is written for people learning how systems work on machines they own or have written permission to use.
Allowed
- Your own laptop, homelab, or virtual machine
- A cloud project billed to you
- A workplace system you are explicitly authorized to change
- Isolated labs described in the Defensive Security Lab Pack
Not allowed
- Scanning, exploiting, or logging into systems you do not own
- Collecting credentials, session tokens, or other people's secrets
- Writing or distributing malware
- Using templates or scripts to automate unauthorized access
If a lesson, script, or note could be read as an attack procedure, that is a mistake. Stop, and tell us through your membership. We will correct it.
Buying a MethodStack product does not grant permission to test anyone else's network.
